Humanitarian mission to Kenya (2015)
Two doctors and one secretary of the MediSina team have participated in a humanitarian project that has taken place in the city of Malindi, in Kenya. This project was organised by TimeToHelp Belgium.
Information session
An infosession was organized at the Lucerna high school in Anderlecht. The session was attended by the teachers and the parents of the students.
Seminar on medical healthcare in a multicultural setting.
Dr. Demirkapu had the opportunity to discuss this topic, the prejudices we have against people with a different culture and the possible solutions.
Medical interns
During the year 2015, various medical students had the opportunity to do their internship at the MediSina medical center. In this way they have gained practical experience.
Seminar on the treatment of gastrointestinal cancer
Our medical center has organized a seminar on the treatment of gastrointestinal cancer for the nurses and doctors. The seminar was given by Prof. Dr. Baki Topal (from the KU Leuven).
Seminar on vascular surgery
Our health platform organized an information session for the general practitioners of Schaerbeek. The vascular surgeon Dr. Yazar O. had the opportunity to explain them the treatment of patients with abdominal aneurysm.
Training on First Aid procedures
Dr. Arikan has given this training at EPN (European Professional Network).
